Youth Therapy
Adolescence can be a time of intense change — emotionally, socially, and psychologically. Our therapeutic approach offers teenagers a safe, confidential space where they can speak openly and feel genuinely heard, without judgement or pressure.
We work at your teen’s pace, building a trusting therapeutic relationship that supports them in exploring their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Together, we gently explore not only current challenges but also the deeper emotional patterns that may be shaping how they relate to themselves and others. Through increased self-awareness and understanding, young people can develop healthier coping strategies, strengthen their sense of identity, and build emotional resilience.
Role of parents
While confidentiality is a cornerstone of our work with your young person, we also recognise the vital role that parents and caregivers play in their lives. Where appropriate and in the best interests of your child, we always aim to involve you in a thoughtful and collaborative way. We deeply understand how important your child is to you, and we are committed to supporting their wellbeing while maintaining a safe and trusting therapeutic space.
We support teenagers experiencing difficulties such as peer pressure, academic stress, anxiety, low mood, family tensions, and questions around identity and belonging.
You Might Consider Youth Therapy If Your Child Is:
- · Showing noticeable changes in mood, behaviour, or personality
- · Withdrawing from friends, family, or usual activities
- · Struggling with peer relationships or social confidence
- · Finding school overwhelming or experiencing a decline in academic engagement
- · Experiencing persistent anxiety, low mood, or emotional distress
- · Engaging in risk-taking behaviours or unhealthy coping patterns
